You know once you do this long enough you get jaded about looks and it takes something particularly special to appeal, and I've had a few go thru my hands that were like that. There were some I would just sit and stare at because the wood was so gorgeous, I never even turned the system on, or if the album finished I'd stare at them instead of putting something else on.
His were like that but you'd be hard pressed to tell from the pics. Goncalo Alves is one of those woods with a depth of hue cameras cannot capture, and it just deepens more beautifully as it ages.
And I can't even get it most of the time either.
Reviews.... yeah, well I was actually supposed to do a few months ago but the problem is I never have time to make a pair to send to reviewers. One of these days it will happen, and perhaps one day I'll take a system to the Rocky Mountain fest so more people can get a chance to hear them.
