I am hearing a sort of tizzy artifact from one of my speakers. It's not quite a rattle, but sort of a low level sizzle. It is more obvious at low levels than at high volumes. This speaker also sounds somewhat brighter than the other. The problem follows the speaker if I swap channels. Is this a precursor to ribbon failure? Are there things to check with repect to the appearance of the ribbon or its connections? Can tension be adjusted? If ribbons have to be replaced will Magnepan ship the entire cartridge to Canada or will I be forced to buy the kit and struggle with getting it right which has been an ordeal for some here?
