I recently got some 3.3s with a 3.5 crossover. I read that the values are slightly different as I recall, but I suspect not enough to mess up the sound. Does anyone know whether I am losing something near the bass by not having the original 3.3 crossovers? Am I gaining something?
Maybe the 3.5s used better components?
They sound great; though I'm not sure about the bass yet compared to the 1.6s. I cannot go back to my 1.6s I think after hearing them but I will have to when I send the 3.3s to Magnepan for re-glue, etc. At least one woofer and one midrange has a buzz at certain frequency (but not on most music).
