Hi everyone, I posted this same question in the high efficiency speaker asylums by mistake, now that I am here I hope I get some answers to the following question:I just acquired a set of Magnepan MG-II's in great shape for a bargain however, I don't hear any tweeters or top end on these towers. Is this the Magnepan sound they are famous for or is there actually supposed to be a top end on these speakers. I believe all I hear is 14-15Khz max. out of them at this time. is that all they are supposed do on the top end? Bass and mids sounds good but I hear no sizzle. I am listening to them as I write this and I can say this, I can turn the treble control on my Audio research SP-4 pre from flat to all treble all the time and the difference is only slightly noticeable, I am fairly handy with the soldering gun but would hate to open these up and destroy them trying to fix a problem that doesn't exist. Any MG-II owner's out there that would care to comment? Thank you all in advance for your help.
