"don't place a big ole honking TV between them"I don't think this can be emphasized enough! As I used to have that big ole tv (now in my bedroom). Spreading my gear across the front wall, well about 2 ft. from it, on a homemade, cheap, but it works for now, platform that keepks my gear much lower than ear level.
Keeping the area between (and from the sides) my Maggies clear of anything/everything (besides my equipment of course ;-) and about 5 or so ft. from the front wall did wonders for my 1.6's, as it now does w/ my 3.6's.
My point in short...I couldn't agree more w/ the statement you made.
