well to get the 'Maggie effect' you gotta start with room size

IMO the most important factor in achieving what they're 'truly' capable of .

It is in my honest opinion the best 'Maggie experience' can be accomplished when Maggies are allowed to 'breathe' with ample amounts of space. "Ideally" =/> 3' from side walls, =/>4' from wall behind them, and at least 5' of space between them. These are 'my' recommendations and by no means speak for other members of this forum.

Additionally, I'd submit having Maggies in a fairly 'large' room with even mediocre equipment with sound superior to Maggies in too small a room with 'high end' gear. That is, getting the 'you are there' effect ie., height, depth, spaciousness, and all around awareness.

At least this was the case in my own experience.

Now if you've got great gear in a great room that's large(at least 15x20), then you're pretty much set.

NOW THAT'S NOT TO SAY THEY WON'T SOUND GREAT IN SMALLER ROOMS!
Just not as good.

Kind of like riding in a Saleen Mustang, would you rather be in the back seat, passenger's seat or the driver's seat?
