Yah, that's certainly part of it but it turns out that many rooms are very much alike, yet the speakers can be positioned very differently. Just look at the pics from the previous post. Lots of similarities in rooms, I thought.
What works in my "box" may be totally different than what works in your "box".
Perhaps I'm having a problem with the phrase "totally different".
Anyway, I'm still surprised about how people listen. Are they listening for the wide soundstage, tight focus, diffused sound picture, punchy bass, ultra detail, warm midrange?
It's a jungle out there.
