Re: Would this "mess up" the sound?

Assuming you weren't pulling our collective legs when you asked the question, it will destroy the imaging, depth and width of soundstage, the perceived freqency response and any other feature of any speaker system. If quality sound is important to you, getting this chair would be about the worst thing you could do. To try to simulate, put soup bowls over your ears a few inches away from you head. Sound silly? So does listening to a good sound system while sitting inside an egg :).
