My 1.4s sounded fine in a 14 X 14 room that I had them in. The point is that going from MMGs to a larger model as the OP is considering doing may not be the best bang for the buck for the smaller room they'll be used in.As always, in-home audition of the equipment being considered is ideal. Like the MMGs, SVS offers a trial period during which their subs can be returned for full refund (minus shipping, of course) for any reason. I've already decided I'm keeping both the MMGs and the SVS sub!
