Here is a link to the SVS sub I am using;http://www.svsound.com/products-sub-cyl-plpow2.cfm
It is probably overkill in terms of the SPL it can generate, but its sonic quality is outstanding and compliments the "Magnepan sound" quite nicely. When there's something to be heard in the music below the MMG's range (to well under 20hz), it's rendered beautifully without being overpowering. With most tracks of music - and the vast majority of music that I believe most Magnepan users listen to - the MMG/SVS presentation is absolutely seamless. Yet when the music contains powerful low notes, such as a pipe organ, there's no doubt with an experienced Magnepan user that there's another speaker in the midst. After 17 years of enjoying Magnepans, the MMG/SVS combo has taken the listening experience to a whole new level!
