Innersounds are deceptively efficient. The impedance varies wildly, 150 ohms in the midrange and under 2 ohms up yonder. My solid state Innersound amps (designed by the man, Roger Sanders, to work with these speakers) do wonderfully well. If you go tubes, a friend of mine uses the Rogue Zeus, a tube behemoth. I would stay away from any tube amp that is not comfortable with <4 ohms (and that would be most tube amps) for any speaker that routinely goes into that area. BTW, the EROS MKIII, which I own, is a great speaker. Later equivalent models may or may not be currently manufactured, but I believe Roger Sanders (the inventor) is prepared to service the earlier models. His website link is below.
