If someone were to run a pair of MMG's crossed over at 80Hz with a subwoofer would the new Panasonic XR-700 digital receiver be able to power them? It has a Tri-amp feature that redirects the unused surround channels to the fronts. Each channel is rated ~110 watts, but only at 6 Ohms. That would mean if you had a 2.1 setup, that you could have 330 watts (3 channels of amplification) going to each MMG crossed at 80Hz. Does anyone have any experience with the Panasonic Digital amps and Maggies?

- If the receiver is not rated at 4 ohms I wouldn't try. /nt\ - HenryH 17:17:07 04/06/07 (0)
