Hey Jim,I just don't buy it.
Sure i don't doubt what you are hearing, and that it sounds as you say.
A modded pair of mmgs is a totally different animal in that the resolution is much much better than stock.
So these subtle difference you describe are not subtle in such a system.
It is as Peter Gunn says, he used to think his Adcom was an incredible amp, but now he knows it is "crap".
There is no doubt that the Behringer nails the value curve, but if you want to take things to the next step, I don't think this is a step forward on a resolving system YMMV.
That said, I will try the Behringer and see for myself what the hoopla is about.
