I have been considering updating my system to include surround sound. I currently have a 2 channel system with a tube preamp, SS amp and 3.6 Maggies with the usual sub and SACD player and 50' Flat screen. Is there a good way to integrate that with a surround sound processor without breaking the bank? I want to watch DVDs and some TV in 5.1, but for listening to music I prefer 2 channel.
I would like to keep the total under 5K if possible and make switching back and forth relatively simple.
Recommendations and other's individual experiences would be most welcome. Thanks in advance.
