Howdy,I have replaced dust covers on bass panels but not a tweeter panel before. Before I atempt to re-cover my tweeters I have a question on the procedure. I expect the procedure to be very similar except for the tensioning bolts. Here is how I expect it should be done, please correct me if I'm wrong.
1. Glue new film to both frames, sandwich the stator panel between the frames and tape all around.
2. Tension the covers with a hot air gun.
3. Make holes for the tension bolts with a soldering iron
4. Apply the bolts and tighten. Please confirm if the covers should be shrunk before the bolts are placed, or if the bolts should be added befor shrinking.
Thanks in advance
13DoWps. I will use 6um film for the tweeters.
