Re: 3.6 ribbon replacement

Hey, Tick, just did one myself a couple of months ago. Was fretting like you were. No worries. In fact, the tubing Magnepan uses to ship the tweeter is kind of a pain (along with the 20 or so screws securing the tweeter assembly to the speaker mdf) - so just remember when unpacking to be firm but gentle. And remember to be careful when attaching the connectors as Dimitry says because the connectors on the tweeters are rather maleable and can break off if you use too much force. And, of course, serial numbers at the bottom as Al points out. The tweeters will, of course, arrive with protector strips on them so don't remove them until you're completely done with the R/R. After the R/R don't forget that the ribbon will need a while to break in so it may sound different from your other Maggie. Good luck.
