My best piano tuner is blind! No one has ever come close to the sound he is able to do, I believe some of it has to do with the room the piano is in and all that goes on around us that we hear not just what a scope says.
I all so understand what the wife is feeling, I have two friends that died from pain medication both were away from family at the time to help and monitor the dosiage.
