I've got a Audible Illusions preamp which I've always ran with a sub. OTOH, I've got Bottlehead foreplay preamp I spent $350 on as a back up which throws the most magnificent bass I've ever heard through my Maggies-without a sub. Nothing like the sound of a good throbbing, tube sounding bass note I'm telling you.____________//________________
