I have the $ (well, almost) and will soon have more than enough power to drive them. In a room about 16.5x25x8.Plus and minuses as an upgrade from 1.6's- considering the price change (now 4,750 w/ the added $300 for dark cherry wood w/ no changes w/ the speaker, besides x-over mount, since they came out-almost 1g less in price)
The only listening I can do is at my local shop where the room is WAY too small + sitting just 3-4 ft away from the speakers. They will not let me home audition (only the 3.6's, which is the only thing they have worth auditioning IMO).
I have no doubt that the 3.6's are a better speaker IMO, but I remember hearing a few negative things about them in past years...still checking the archives to try to find some of them.
