Amp for Maggie 3.6r mid/ tweeter

Thanks to inmates who patiently explained why Monarch SM-70 would not work in an active biamp configuration with Innersound ESL 300 on bottom. (I had thought, wrongly I guess, that I could get away with much less power on top.) What would you folks suggest? I'd like to keep it inexpensive, under $1000. Am interested in Mosfets. Pro amps, like the Behringer A500, would certainly save some bucks, but I worry that they may be too harsh.
