I've never heard the Inner Sound electrostats. Actually, the only electrostats I recall ever hearing were Quads, and that was a very long time ago. I still remember how nice the vocals were on them!We just got the plasma set last month. So far we love it! It's a Panasonic TH42PH9UK, which is the commercial model with no stand, speakers or tuner...perfect for our application. The only hassle so far is spending a minute of so adjusting the aspect ratio for some films so there are no black bars. So far about 95% of the DVDs we've watched can be adjusted so there are no black bars or distortion.
The prices are really reasonable on them now, and what cemented the deal for me is that a free 5 year extended warranty rebate is available on this set from at least some dealers (perhaps all) until the end of March.
