Re: About the Pass Amps

Which Pass are you referring too? I guessing your thinking of the Aleph.

The Pass X-series plays in the “Literal Translation camp” or absolute truth space; shooting for minimum-to-no deviations from the source. It’s resolving qualities is exceptional, and doesn’t really have a personality of its’ own…like a chameleon takes on whatever in front of it.

The Aleph was more in the “Interpreted Translation camp”; providing some-to-a lot of (emphasis or de-emphasis, colorations, etc) from the source. This one was kinda pretty sounding and had those tube like qualities in the highs and mids. I recall it getting dinged for having such a distinct character, one could easily detect its’ prescense in a foreign system.

Believe what your ears say - not hearsay.
