Hi Steve,If you're a tube guy then I really think you need to actively bi-amp your 3.6s - ie. throw away the external passive XO (which is bass lowpass/mid highpass) and substitute an active XO.
You then need 2 stereo amps (or 4 monoblocks) - so you could have a heavyweight ss amp for the bass panels and a nice tube amp for the mids & ribbons. This would still have to be powerful though ... I suggest the ideal would be 400w (into 4 ohms) for the ss amp on the bass and 200w for the tube amp.
Alternatively what might work for you (if you like "tube magic"!! :-)) )is using a Marchand tube active XO and running ss amps on the mid/ribbons, as well as the bass panels.
If you extended this concept to 3-way active with the Marchand tube XO, you could use 2 lower powered tube amps for the mids/ribbons ... say, 100w on the mids and 50w on the ribbons.
