a different approach, but you might be able to eliminate phase shift through trial and error. since the software doesn't sample the sound after correction, you would have to use something like etf5 to see the effect it has on phase.

the deqx is a much more complete solution as it takes a speaker measurement, divides the frequency spectrum into slices, then corrects them for time and amplitude.

i,m also not sure what the frequency response would look like with no phase shift. it may require a bit of eq.

the parametric eq is also a nice feature of the pdc2.6. the user interface is very nice. put points on a graph and slide them around. for more precise control, double click the point and enter the parameters. i've tamed the bass in some horrible rooms with a few well placed cuts and boosts. this feature alone is worth a lot to me.
