VRMS is Root Mean Squared Voltage. Its the amount of current your amp can provide.

I'm not an engineer so I may be off a bit, but I believe the fact that the rating is the same for 8 and 4 ohms implies a heavily regulated power supply which would limit dynamic overhead. That's very unusual in solid state amps. Most amps tend to deliver from 50 to as much as 100 percent more watts into 4 ohms than 8. Are you sure you're reading the spec correctly.

There are many others here with far greater electrical knowledge than I have. I assume they will comment if I've erred or over simplified.

Other considerations aside, 100 watts into 8/4 ohms should be sufficent for the SMGa's to play fairly loudly.
