Re: Marantz 2252 and MMG

For a day or so, I hooked up my Advent 300 (15Watt 8 Ohms Not rated for 4 Ohms even) And it pushed the MMGS to "normal" listening levels. My 60 HK RCVR did a bit better - the bottom end dynamics felt better - one thing you will notice is that you will be rotating the volume knob a lot more past 12:00 with the mmg's as they are only a realistic 83 dB per watt at one meter output. But remember most people's "Normal" listening level on the average is around 80-85dB for music. Now I have them biamped with 230 Watts top and bottom and they effortlessly seem to move air... BTW: A big subwoofer handles the bottom end.
