I have ML Ascent i's which are rated down to 34hz. My room is large and doesn't allow for room treatment (WAF). I added a SVS PC+ 20-39 sub, mainly for movie LFE.
Just because the manufacture states 34hz does that mean in perfect conditions?Should I set the sub at that level or should I go a bit higher? Is a sub necessarily better at handling the bass than a main because that is it's only job?
One of the reasons I'm asking is because I had to take the sub out for repair and I might be liking the mains by themselves. I've had to set the system up line-level.
Once the sub is repaired I plan on putting it back in but considering a lower crossover.
