I was ready to pop for the Gradient subs at the shop where I bought my demo 63's until I listened to them with their crossover. The dulling of the Quads with the crossover in the circuit was not worth the great bass extension (to me). You were very definitely right, Mark, I couldn't conceive how Gradient could put out such a compromised product. And I wasn't into making my own - this was about 15 years ago and I didn't know which end was which on a soldering pencil.Imagine that, a stereo shop that saved me money!
