packing peanuts as damping material in their S-12. See the link below for one builder's experience, and be sure to read Dick Olsher's review at enjoythemusic.com. Must work (as damping material) to get Olsher to give such a rave review.I'd certainly give it a try, and if it sounds good, frame it and cover it with an acoustically transparent material, unless you're into ugly. :)
