I am in the market for new amplification. I have a pair of Magnepan 3.6Rs and currently use an Musical Fidelity Integrated A308 amplifier. I am interested in the Bryston gear and I am curious about peoples experience with the 4b SST or 7B SSTs. I am wondering about the performance difference between the two amps. Does the 4B get you 50%, 90%, 95% of the 7Bs dynamics, bass control, musicality, etc.? Basically, I can afford the 4B now and wondering if I should continue saving for the 7Bs? Or what are people's opinion on going with the 4B now, then add a second 4B later when funds are available and bridge them to use as mono blocks?Any thoughts are greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Ethan
