I mostly agree

I agree that for electrostats (I own SoundLAB), it is good to have an amp that can handle variable ohm loads and be stable at very low impedence. Although the power does not quite double for the A51 at half impedence, it comes very close. The exact specs from Parasound:

250 watts RMS x 5, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 8 Ω, all channels driven
400 watts RMS x 5, 20 Hz - 20 kHz, 4 Ω, all channels driven
Current capacity:
60 amperes peak per channel

I have auditioned many amplifiers with SoundLAB speakers and the Parasound Halo amps were by far my favorites (under $15,000), even compared to other amps that were far more costly. There were only a couple I enjoyed more, but again they were much more expensive (ex: Pass Labs). The Halo amps really "sing" with electrostats IMHO.
