Most will say the middle of the panel should be at ear height. As far as tilt, I believe the smaller magies were designed to lean back so the sound was directed up at you to get the correct the correct center of speaker sound at ear level.My opinion and experience with MMG's. They sounded better on the floor angled right at me. I did try them straight raised about 7" but put them back...
ITs a matter of trial and error.
