Magnepan speaker terminal

I just purchased a new pair of 1.6 QR last week; very good sounding but I am curious why Magnepan has been using their special "high current" speaker terminals which seem to me "not up to the current hifi standard offering" !!
The reason is for easy packagng ? Don't know. These terminal protude only a little therefore a pair can nicely be packaged together for easy shipment :-))
Tomorrow I shall swop this whole mounting plate/terminal with a pair of Eichmann CablePod on one purposely made mounting plate, and NO FUSE. Look forward to the result :-))
