I have a fuse holder installed in my modified x-over box. Anytime I make a change to the system, particularly amplification, I re-attach the fuse. After I've let the system run in it's new configuration for a few days, to a point I feel it's stable, I'll disconnect the fuse for happy listening.
Prevents much heartache, wailing and gnashing of teeth, and/or etc......
