Let's take your stand as example. The frame, which you mount Mag on, is not perfect flat. It must be croaked. Actually, it is almost impossible to accomplish this. It is same for my stand. Now, let us look Mag panel. After it is on stock stand for while, Mag's frame, which basically is half inch MDF, will be "broken-in", too. It will form certain shape that we don't know. So, it is an impossible task to match both perfectly. The taller the stand is, the more imperfection may occur. This is why I think full height is not desirable. . If you want to use full height support, you need to have some kind of device to compensate that imperfection. I use Marine and Automotive Weatherstrip Tape. Also, in my opinion, half height of Mag panel for back support is enough to achieve rigidity of you Mag.
