not sure what you're looking for in the question. I thought my question was obvious. I've always heard that I2S was the best transmission between the transport and the DAC. It seems that so much work and effort is involved in reducing jitter in the inherently flawed interface typically used, why not avoid that interface in the first place? It's not that difficult to convert a transport to have an I2S interface. I think Audio Amateur had an article on it. Has the typical coax interface gotten so wonderful that it is not worth "upgrading" it any more by avoiding it all together?
