I compared with 2 friend the 1674 with magnequest 5k:500 and Lundahl 7903. All of us, without any discussion, prefered the permalloy core transformers. The are better in every respect. to decide between magnequest and 7903 is a matter of taste (and music) but the 1674 was definitly worse, hash, grainy and simply not musical compared to the competitors. Do yourself a favor and spend some bucks more..tscho
