RE: Question about LL1544A as phase splitter

Hi, Kev, I am planning to use my preamp to drive the amp it is a tubed preamp with 6sn7 tubes. I was originally, going to use the 1:1 config for 6sn7 driver tube on the amp. But now i am going to use a 6sl7 driver tube on the amp and was wondering if the 1:2 would be better or worse with that tube. I did not realize that the transformer could be configured for different gain levels. So, using the IT at higher gain levels does incur some loss of driver signal quality?
One last question, is it ok to jumper the Gnd to the CT and then to the amp ground bus at the bias resistors? regards, Dak
