RE: alternative for LL1660 18 ma

I prefer the input phase splitting approach of the two. This is for two reasons. The first is that without the appropriate Faraday shields designed into the transformer, the phase splitting interstage transformer has limited high frequency extension. There is a version of the LL1660 (called the LL1660S) that has these shields, but there are no versions of the LL1692A, LL1671, etc., with these shields. Second, the phase splitting input transformer provides for both balanced and unbalanced input interface.
