New Soft Start Kit

The Soft Start Kit has proven popular, but there have been applications that were out of its reach due to the 200mA current limit. This is mostly a consequence of the dissipation rating of the zener diode that provides the ramp MOSFET's bias. The Cold War is over, but products designed during that era, other than vacuum tubes, can be of use for high-end audio purposes. I've sourced some 10w metal package zener diodes and the board level heat sink for them to boost the current rating of the new High Current Soft Start Kit to 500mA. I use this circuit in my PSE 6C33C monoblocks to switch the high voltage and have turn-on that is completely free from annoying "pop" noises coming from the speakers.

The kit info will go up on the webpage sometime soon, but it's available now for $48. The PC board is 3.4" x 2.4" and the height (excluding the 0.5" stand-offs that you must supply) is 1.5".
