EZ clock PS

The input to the EZ clock power supply transformer has 5 connections. I assume that L1-2 are for 120 Volts in and the "Earth" is the grounded shield. What are the N1 and N2 connections for and how should they be hooked up (if at all)? Thanks in advance for your time.
