Noises in my Basie

I have two Basie pramps. The first one always had a bit of a hum/buzz when close to the speakers. The second one was almost dead quiet.

Since I have moved to my new home, both buzz. The one that was quiet now has an audible buzz half way across the room. More of a hiss in the right channel and more buzz in the left.

The other preamp has almost the same buzz.

When i place other devices in plac of the preamp...ie directly connect the DAc to the Dynaco amp and play nothing - dead silence. If I use a cheater plu on the Basie (ie convert the three prong to a two prong plug, it doesnt help any.

So - any other things I need to do to trouble shoot the noises?
