Folks
I've had the 3rd runaway output valve in my Ella since buying it nearly 5 years ago. I don't think losing 3 valves over that time period is too bad, the amp is used every day so I'm not complaining, but I have a question.
Every time this has happened it's been the valve in the same slot, looking from the front, it's the 2nd one in from the left. Is there anything I should be checking to help prevent this happening again, or is it just a coincidence? I don't expect valves to last forever, I know some will fail from time to time.
Other than this problem the amp continues to give me great service, sounding terrific.
