In an acute attack of audio nervosa I ordered a Manley Chinook phono preamp today. It will replace my Soundsmith MCP2k II, which I have just sold on Asylum Trader. Had the Soundsmith for around 4 years and loved it but wanted to go to the next (hopefully!) step up. The Chinook will be used with my Soundsmith Zephyr star MIMC, which I also have greatly enjoyed.

While I've not auditioned one at home, I suspect you'll love it. I own and have owned other Manley gear and I'm a great believer in their products. With our local audio club (when still in San Diego) I've toured their factory a couple of times. A very dedicated and musically devoted staff and they do most everything in house so full design and build control.
