I recently sold my Technics SL-1500C as I was really not using it enough and that deck deserves to be enjoyed. I pulled out the old Music hall MMF 1.5 and decided to switch cartridges as well. So off with The Vessel A3SE and on with the SoundSmith re-tipped Denon DL-160 with sapphire cantilever and optimized LC stylus.
I have to say Fleetwood Mac's "Rumours" never sounded better.

So, should you have an old DL-160 body gathering dust, do yourself a big favor and give Peter a call at SoundSmith.

Many thanks to Ghostie for sending me the Denon.

Now, for some Badfinger!

But you had it listed at a terrific price.

The blissful counterstroke-a considerable new message.

is the DL-160 although an old body since it was bought when they are available has very few hours on it. Need to get some play time to wear it enough for it to need a SS retip.
