This issue is one of only a few 1st pressings of Blue Notes that I have in my collection. It's scratched beyond believe and yet after a great VPI cleaning it plays like NM ....atleast with an Audiotechnica AT33 Mono cartridge. My Lyra Helikon Mono has been with Sound Smith for about a week. I can't wait to listen with that beauty.

Ladies and gents, have a great Sunday...stay safe!!

You have great taste. I was listening to his album featuring Stanley Turrentine, The Sermon, yesterday, which is being reissued on Blue Note's Tone Poet series now. The Tone Poet series sound so amazing that this one is irresistible. On our first date I took my wife Bonnie, to Lenny's On the Turnpike in Peabody, MA to see and hear Jimmy Smith. That was in 1968.
