While changing cartridges on my Ariston/SME table, I was thinking about mounting screw orientation. Do you prefer having tonearm mounting screws face up or face down? I see lots of folks put the bolts on top. It's clearly a visual thing, but I prefer seeing screw heads on top. I looked back at a pic of the same table from 1983 with a different arm and found my preference hasn't changed. |

I haven't even thought about my Shure V15 IV mounting in about 20 years. Now you made me look. It looks fine. I'll look again in another 20 years. :) |
