You might remember my post about Brinkmann not selling in USA about a month back. So just recently Brinkmann USA on their web site has just announced some US dealers of their brand stating "....dealers listed below are certified, trained and qualified dealers of our brand....." Amazing how no former Brinkmann dealer is found on the list which is why there are at least 8 Brinkmann tables found on Audiogon. Also amazing how these dealers could be "certified and trained" so quickly. I would strongly suggest anyone interested in a Brinkmann table go to a former dealer and buy one at give away prices. Don't buy new...save yourself thousands. I've already sold my own Brinkmann at a loss but I'm happy to have made a good customer extremely happy. He received virtually a new table at significantly less than 1/2 off retail!

Hey Steve

Seems you had a long time relationship with Brinkman and unfortunately for whatever reason they've decided to go in another direction. My experience with manufacturers in these situations is to not burn bridges. If you've succesfully sold the product for a long time in faithful accordance to the dealer agreement and they decided that they want to part company, then that is an option they're allowed to exercise. Chances are they will come back to you after two bad back to back quarters and want to he all huggy-kissy again. At that time, you'll be in a position to recoup lost revenue. If their intent is to become your #1 table line again, then let them prove that by giving you great support, great market exclusivity, great pricing and great terms.

There are other lines that you should consider now. SME being a good replacement since, unlike Rega, the don't have an electronics and speaker line they'll want you to put on display along with a couple tables. What you want to do is focus on a company who only makes tables and accessories for those tables. If there is no local VPI dealer, then consider them.

As a fellow dealer, all I ask is that you don't prostitute whichever company you committ to and sell out of your territory. Our profession is at a crossroad where B&M dealers need exclusivity more than ever, and that is completely dependent upon the good faith of each dealer.

And I'm not going to say it again other than to quote those great Bhuddist philosophers - The Eagles - with a very simple but poignant thought....

Learn to be still.

Peace, brother. I wish you peace.

Yup, distributors are almost as repugnant as retailers. nt, posted on May 23, 2014 at 22:35:22

Get over it SK and simply move on. There's not benefit in posting something like this...

I own a Brinkmann Bardo turntable and absolutely love it!

You're right, that's much more appropriate. Looks like The Eagles have an answer for everything.

Hi- I just want to note that is it not correct that no former Brinkmann dealers are current Brinkmann USA dealers- Analog Audio Minnesota, Cake Audio and Music Lovers Audio are all former dealers who made new arrangements and are current dealers.

Andrea Brinkmann and I started visiting current dealers in January after CES and have been very active educating and working with our dealer network. Andrea has been in the US twice this year, and we have at least two more US trips planned in the summer and fall.

Having this kind of direct relationship with our dealer network is very important to us and one of the reasons Brinkmann now sells direct in the USA. We have every confidence that our current dealers are Brinkmann setup experts who offer the highest level of service, which our customers demand and deserve.

Thank you,

Shane Buettner, Brinkmann USA

Hea Shayne, is Brinkmann USA an actual company, incorporated??

In looking at the photographs in this 6 moons Brinkmann Balance review, and the gentleman shown...who is that and where is it? Who is Walter Roeschlau?

Does Brinkmann own and operate CNC cutting lathes and drill presses? Anozatiion bathes?

Who is this and what relationship is there to Brinkmann Audio??:,http://www.amg-turntables.com, Who is Robert Meerker?

What does Brinkmann Audio actually manufacture? who designs and actually makes the Brinkmann Audio electronics?
