Going thru my disorganized classical collection today I found and played a great Solti LP. Its Solti/Paris playing List /Tasso/Mephisto Waltz #1/From the cradle to the grave/ on Decca SXL-6709 Stereo. The music and sound is first rate and the condition is near mint. I think this is my only Decca classical LP, guess I should have bought more because this one is a keeper for sure....PS Did Solti do many recordings with the Paris Orchestra?

I bought the London equivalent (CS 6925) when it first came out. The sound is pretty impressive and the music, I agree, is enjoyable.

The short answer would be no, Solti did not record much with the Paris orchestra. He usually recorded with far better ensembles. :)
