Hello, wondering if anyone has a schematic or any other info on the Ballantyne MX24D; the later-production version which uses 7027A tubes before the output stage. Lots of schematics I see for the earlier version but not the later one.....Thanks !

"7027A tubes before the output stage"? Wow, what are the outputs - 833?

Wow, those are some serious amplifiers! I had to look this up. Sorry I can't help with the schematic. Even the photos I found don't appear to show 7027 drivers.

Earlier units used 6B4Gs for driver tubes.

I have had one of these amps for a decade or more with the 6B4G drivers. Finding a second for stereo is almost impossible. Further, the >1000V plate supply is a major safety concern. I only powered it up once under the tutelage of an experienced ham operator, since it really was ready for a complete rebuild. I have a schematic I drew out myself, but not the one with the 7027. I doubt the 6B4G driver schematic is very different from the 7027.
